At work we are about to start a real large project and we are looking for good project management software.  This is for a software development project, by the way.

Now the company I work for is cheap, real cheap.  (No Christmas bonus cheap.)  So we need something that's free or at least easy to pirate.  Any suggestions?

I found this really bizarre and creepy website that features interviews with pedophile software engineers.  Very creepy.

I suppose the premise of the site is that we should respect child molesters in spite of what they do because they can contribute to software engineering and such things ...or something. 

I don't what to think about such a bizarre site.  I just had to tell people about it and I couldn't do it at K5 because they'd make a joke of it.  The whole thing just really disgusts me.

Hey, I went on a job interview and they gave me homework.  It's basically turn some XML into a pdf using XSLT and XSL-FO.

Does anyone know any good resources for that stuff?  I'm looking for sites with information and good software to work with.  I don't have anything to actually process the stuff to make the pdf.  And I'm hoping to use something sort of easy that I can learn real fast.

Sixty Minutes just ran a story about the Millennial or Generation Y, who were born between approximately 1980-1995.  Was it about how they have are just about the first American generation to have less than their parents?  Was it about all their fucking student loans?  Was it about their high voter turnout?  How about the fact that some of them have been killed or injured in a pointless war in a desperate attempt to get money for college?

Of course not, big media will only do one story about Generation Y and it is entirely subjective and unverifiable; that Generation Y is spoiled.  (Not that they were given as much as their parents or anything.)

The victim in this story is the innocent corporation that has selflessly taken on the burden of hiring these terrible monsters.

I just saw the movie Michael Moore's movie, Sicko.

Before I saw it, I wanted to change America.  Now I just want to move to France.

I pay $400 a month in student loans.  That'll be true for 20 years even if I leave America.  But hey, at least I could get the free health care.

Anyone know anything about moving to France?  I'm web developer, and I don't speak French.

For people who are married or in a serious relationship of some sort.  If you could have it so that your significant other would never yell at you or argue with but could cheat on you all he or she wanted, would you prefer that?

As we all know interviewers for jobs can be extremely disrespectful and inconsiderate, but today is the first time I've ever actually wanted to beat one up.

I'm sure you have better stories so go ahead and tell them.  It'll help me put things in perspective

I'm looking for new jobs because I'm being paid less than 2/3 my value and my boss is a total immature asshole, who is too young and not even close to being ready to manage.

Anyway, all the books on interviewing tell you to always be positive and never speak poorly of your present employer.

Of course, many employers ask me why I want to leave my job after a little more than a year.  I don't have a particularly good answer.

Congress has voted to cut off aid to the Palestinian people.  There's many things wrong with this.  The humanitarian crisis is first among them.  However, this is what really bothers me, and it goes for both Democrats and Republicans.

By passing this legislation they are acting like they have some sort of moral high ground over Hamas.

I think that is what I find truly troubling.

Over the past month or so, I've gotten really drunk on two nights.  At the end of each night I took one multi-vitamin (which I normally do after heavy drinking) and I had a can of Hawiian Punch.  When I woke up after each night I had essientally no hangover.
